Laura and Ryan - Mount Hope Farm, Hamilton Wedding Photographer

I had the pleasure of meeting Laura and Ryan 6 years ago when I photographed their engagement and wedding photos. I fell in love with them - they are not only amazing people individually, but together they make the sweetest couple. They have this salt of the earth quality to them. Today is a throwback to their wedding, which is still one of my favourites to this day! They got married at their family farm in Mount Hope, surrounded by just over 20 family and friends. How adorable!

Amber and Kevin - The Lakeview by Carmen's, Hamilton Wedding photographer

This wedding is near and dear to my heart. I first met Amber for her engagement session, shortly after they got engaged. She and I became fast friends. Then I realised how talented she is. She is an amazing photographer. I am so happy to say we work together regularly now. I’m so glad the universe brought us together! Photographing her wedding to Kevin was fantastic, and such an honour. Here are a few of my favourite images from their wedding day. Love you two!

Sarah and Rob - Dundurn Castle, Hamilton Wedding Photographer

Sarah and Rob were my dream couple! Sarah got ready on a farm, they had an outdoor ceremony, had bridal portraits at Dundurn Castle, and finished the night off at Carmen’s Banquet Hall. It was such an awesome day. I may have been very pregnant, but it was amazing and worth all the tiredness. Here are some of my favourites from their wedding day!

S&J - Spencer Smith Park, Burlington Wedding Photographer

These two wanted awesome wedding portraits that they could cherish for a lifetime. They were also on a budget. They hired me for a few hours to take care of their bridal portraits, leaving the rest up to their friends and family. Wedding planning is all about compromise. There’s nothing wrong with trying to save money where you can, but I highly recommend you have a professional photographer capture the most important parts of your wedding day. To them, this was the most important part of their day. I’m so glad I got to capture these for them! They will have these memories forever <3 They were a wonderful couple with fabulous energy and I loved every moment of our time together.

Scotty and Amanda - The Grand Olympia, Hamilton Wedding Photographer

Not too long ago, two of my best friends got married! It was such an amazing day. It was such an honour to stand up with them when they said “I do”! Because I was a bridesmaid, I wasn’t able to photograph the whole day…but that didn’t stop me from snapping a few photos throughout the day :) Here are a few of my favourites!

Steve and Jackie - Ancaster Mill, Hamilton Wedding Photographer

Being a photographer is such a cool experience. You get to connect with people you have never met, and reconnect with people you haven’t seen in ages. Jackie and I went to high school together. To be a part of her wedding day was so special. She is an amazing mother, friend, daughter….reconnecting with her and Steve was just wonderful. Their wedding at the Ancaster Mill was just picture perfect. Here are a few favourites from their stunning wedding day!

Andrew and Kylie - Lakeview by Carmen's, Stoney Creek Wedding Photography

Thinking back to this perfect wedding day. My friends Andy and Kylie threw an awesome bash for their wedding. Filled with tender moments, amazing decor, fantastic company and great music. This one will definitely stick with me. Here are some of my favourite images from their wedding day at The Lakeview by Carmen’s

Justin and Samantha - Grand Olympia, Stoney Creek Wedding Photographer

Shooting for my little protege Amber Kay Photography is always so much fun. Seeing her bloom into such a beautiful artist is such a trip. I love it! Shooting this winter wedding with her at the Grand Olympia in Stoney Creek was such a blast. Thanks for having me, girl!

Richard and Katelyn - Camp Trillium, Rainbow Lake Wedding Photography

Sometimes, you shoot a wedding that just sticks to your soul. Katelyn and Richard's was definitely one of them. I mean, it's not everyday two love birds get married at a kids camp! Their wedding day was filled with rain, but they never let that stop them from having an amazing time. Thanks, Jesse James Photography for inviting me out to this one!

Also, really glad I was connected to Kindred Design & Decor Rentals - they did an amazing job decorating this beauty <3

Stephanie and Cory - Carmen's Banquet Hall, Hamilton Wedding Photography

I first met Stephanie 6 years ago. After our first session together, we became fast friends. I remember the first time we spoke, and she gushed about her boyfriend Cory. It was adorable, and I could tell right away that this relationship was special. When they decided to get married, I was ecstatic to document their engagement and wedding. Over the years, I have documented all of their milestones, and I can’t express how happy that makes me. Watching their kids grow up, and capturing them in the process in timeless images - man, that just hits me in the feels. So this blog post is dedicated to two special people, on Valentine’s Day (one day before their anniversary). I’m also including some additional photos of their family throughout the years, because if I’m taking a trip down memory lane, you should join me. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Xoxo

Andy and Natasha - Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King, Hamilton

Andy and Natasha were the sweetest couple. When we met, they said they only cared about being married - and I could tell. It was so sweet, hearing about their intimate wedding planned for the fall. Natasha always loved the doors at Cathedral of Christ the King, so we managed to use it as a backdrop for their wedding photos. It was the coldest day - though you would never know. The couple, and their squad, braved the elements like champions. We had a blast! Here are some of my favourite images from their big day.

Andrew and Cathy - Proposal, Aberdeen Tavern Hamilton, ON

When Andrew first contacted me to photograph this proposal, I was filled with butterflies. I was so excited and nervous - the anticipation of proposals always do this to me. So when she said yes, I was over the moon for these too. Such a cool experience, and Aberdeen Tavern was the perfect setting (it was also the location of their first date…can you say adorable?!)

Stephanie and Nigel - Windecker Woods, Cayuga Ontario

New website - new blog! My goal is to be blogging at least once a week. With my old website, I found it so challenging to get blogging done (it wasn't user friendly to say the least!). So here's to a new chapter, one filled with years of past beauty...yes I'm a tad bit behind here.

I wanted to start out with one of my favourite weddings from 2017. Stephanie and Nigel were a dream to photograph. When we first met over Skype, I fell in love with Stephanie. She has big curls like yours truly and that alone was enough for an instant connection. They had such a wonderful energy - one that could come through video chat! Impressive, right?!

To say these two impressed me would be an understatement. Planning a wedding is challenging enough, but planning it from provinces away is a huge feat in itself! These two BC lovebirds planned a wedding at the beautiful Windecker Woods in Cayuga. This place is what wedding photography dreams are made of! Their day was filled with raw emotion, and the most beautiful DIY projects I have seen in a long time <3

Thank you S&N for the privilege of documenting your love story!! Now, let's look at some pretty pictures!
