Stephanie and Cory - Carmen's Banquet Hall, Hamilton Wedding Photography

I first met Stephanie 6 years ago. After our first session together, we became fast friends. I remember the first time we spoke, and she gushed about her boyfriend Cory. It was adorable, and I could tell right away that this relationship was special. When they decided to get married, I was ecstatic to document their engagement and wedding. Over the years, I have documented all of their milestones, and I can’t express how happy that makes me. Watching their kids grow up, and capturing them in the process in timeless images - man, that just hits me in the feels. So this blog post is dedicated to two special people, on Valentine’s Day (one day before their anniversary). I’m also including some additional photos of their family throughout the years, because if I’m taking a trip down memory lane, you should join me. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Xoxo

Heather and Dane - Palletta Mansion, Burlington Wedding Photographer

Heather and Dane were amazing clients. I loved every interaction we had. I had only spoken with them via skype and a few times before their Canadian wedding reception at Palletta Mansion. These two met and fell in love in Australia, eloped in Iceland, and then had a Canadian wedding reception (which I had the pleasure of photographing). The day of their reception was just perfect. The atmosphere was so relaxed and fun. Definitely a wedding party I won’t soon forget!

Andy and Natasha - Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King, Hamilton

Andy and Natasha were the sweetest couple. When we met, they said they only cared about being married - and I could tell. It was so sweet, hearing about their intimate wedding planned for the fall. Natasha always loved the doors at Cathedral of Christ the King, so we managed to use it as a backdrop for their wedding photos. It was the coldest day - though you would never know. The couple, and their squad, braved the elements like champions. We had a blast! Here are some of my favourite images from their big day.

Scarlett Lynn - Hamilton Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

If you had asked me a few years ago what my thoughts on newborn photography, I wouldn't have a whole lot to say. I didn't enjoy it...like, at all. Then I realised, I don't need to shoot studio to take awesome newborn photos! Don't get me wrong, there is so many good things to be said about studios for newborn sessions. But having the chance to see families in their own safe space, during such a special time...well, I don't think it gets much better than that! It's totally my jam now. Super thankful that I get to photograph my friends babies too - seeing them as parents makes it extra special.

Here's Scarlett working her model look. She was the perfect baby!

Andrew and Cathy - Proposal, Aberdeen Tavern Hamilton, ON

When Andrew first contacted me to photograph this proposal, I was filled with butterflies. I was so excited and nervous - the anticipation of proposals always do this to me. So when she said yes, I was over the moon for these too. Such a cool experience, and Aberdeen Tavern was the perfect setting (it was also the location of their first date…can you say adorable?!)

Ryan - Newborn

When my two best friends started dating, I was over the moon. Watching their relationship grow has been so sweet for me. I have known Scotty and Amanda since high school and they have both held a very special place in my heart. I was ecstatic to witness them get married, and I thought my heart was going to explode when they announced their pregnancy. Ryan is just the cutest little nugget. He was so alert during our session, only falling asleep at the tail end. I loved our time photographing him, especially the snuggles - man, can that kid suck you in! Naturally, I had to share some of this session. Let me introduce you to my out-of-this-world-handsome-nephew Ryan. Congratulations, Scotty and Amanda!

Meghan and Eric - Engagement, Hamilton Bayfront

Photographing these two was like a dream! Every time I snapped the shutter I felt like I was in the middle of a film shoot. Meghan and Eric were so easy to photograph. Seeing a love as raw as theirs was fantastic. It made my job super easy.

I wish I could say I'm documenting their big day, but these two are eloping in San Diego! Wishing them all the best :)

Cameron - Bump to Baby Session

I have been fortunate enough to photograph Erin and Randy's engagement, wedding, and now maternity and newborn photos. Every time I get to document their milestones, my heart is very happy :) These two are the sweetest couple and seeing them bring a beautiful child into the world is just wonderful. Cameron is the cutest little squishy baby! I loved all the snuggles from his session. He was so cooperative! And seeing Mr. Apollo was wonderful! That dog is as handsome as I remembered. Congratulations on your new addition Erin and Randy! He's absolutely beautiful. Seeing you two as parents is amazing, and I just know Cameron is going to grow up surrounded by love!

Kylie and Andrew - Engagement, Gage Park, Hamilton

It's about time I post an engagement session on this blog! I love shooting engagements. It's an amazing way for me to connect with my couples. I learn the things they love, and the things they don't - this saves me so much time on your wedding day! Plus, once your big day comes, it's like we're old friends, making you that much more comfortable with having a camera stuck in your face the entire day.

Kylie and Andrew's engagements were super fun. We spent our time at Gage Park in Hamilton. The early fall setting was a perfect setting. Shooting this made me extra excited to photograph their wedding (which will also be featured on this blog!).

Here's some pretty pictures. Have an awesome night :)

Cassandra and Scott - The Lakeview, Hamilton Ontario

Last summer, Cassandra and Scott said I Do in front of their friends and family at the Lakeview by Carmens. It was such a beautiful day. Cassie is a good friend of mine, and seeing her and Scott get married was a dream. These two are so beautiful, it's nearly impossible to get a bad photo of them. They are basically Barbie and Ken in life form :)

Their daughter Hannah is the cutest tiny human I've ever met, so photographing her for the whole day was super fun. This wedding is definitely a top 10 for sure. Cassie had tons of adorable beautiful details. Ah - enough talking and let's look at photos!!

Aurora - Bump to Baby Session

When you’re best friend is pregnant, life is amazing. Nicky is one hell of a Mama, not to mention a beautiful vessel of life. Watching that bell grow was amazing, and seeing Aurora when she finally came made my heart grow – I felt like the Grinch on Christmas!

Because this is a new blog, I decided to lump these two sessions together. For any pregnant Mama’s out there, a combined Bump to Baby Package is great, and it allows you to have both sessions at a discounted rate. Be sure to contact me for more information!

But for now, here’s some photos of my bestie, and my sweet little niece Aurora!

Hillary and Jamie - Country Heritage Park, Milton Ontario

If you had asked me a decade ago if I would photography Hillary’s wedding, I would have told you it was a dream of mine…no really, an actual dream of mine. I had dreamt of her wedding for as long as we had been friends. Hillary and I met in our teens and made a fast friendship over art, photography, life and boys. You see, my friend is an incredible lady who knew her worth. She wouldn’t settle for just any man, so finding the right one took a while. Little did she know that man was right under her nose the whole time. Hillary and Jamie had known each other for years, and went on several first dates before it was time for their forever. As time went on, and I kept seeing adorable posts of these two love birds on social media; my heart burst when she posted about their engagement. My friend was finally getting married!

Fast forward to last fall, and I had the absolute honour of photographing such a special day! Complete with heartfelt moments, all the big belly laughs, lots of happy tears and even a dress names Hillary (you can’t make this stuff up – oh, and I should mention that it was pink…..which is totally my Hillary). I could gush about this wedding all day.

But let’s be real – you’re not here for that.  You’re here for photos! So without further adieu…<3

Stephanie and Nigel - Windecker Woods, Cayuga Ontario

New website - new blog! My goal is to be blogging at least once a week. With my old website, I found it so challenging to get blogging done (it wasn't user friendly to say the least!). So here's to a new chapter, one filled with years of past beauty...yes I'm a tad bit behind here.

I wanted to start out with one of my favourite weddings from 2017. Stephanie and Nigel were a dream to photograph. When we first met over Skype, I fell in love with Stephanie. She has big curls like yours truly and that alone was enough for an instant connection. They had such a wonderful energy - one that could come through video chat! Impressive, right?!

To say these two impressed me would be an understatement. Planning a wedding is challenging enough, but planning it from provinces away is a huge feat in itself! These two BC lovebirds planned a wedding at the beautiful Windecker Woods in Cayuga. This place is what wedding photography dreams are made of! Their day was filled with raw emotion, and the most beautiful DIY projects I have seen in a long time <3

Thank you S&N for the privilege of documenting your love story!! Now, let's look at some pretty pictures!
